About
Pumarosa is a Seattle-based candle company co-founded by proud Venezuelan immigrants Vanessa Barrios and Jon Cardenas. Our candles are crafted with the highest quality ingredients, including 100% organic soy wax and wooden wicks. We're also proud to be vegan, cruelty-free, and phthalate-free, and never use parabens, paraffin, preservatives, or emulsifiers in our products. Our team designs, produces, tests, and packs every candle in our Seattle studio with utmost care and attention to detail.
Our candles are more than just beautiful home décor; they're designed to enhance your mood and create a peaceful, elegant ambiance in any space. We offer a variety of custom fragrance blends that are thoughtfully crafted to bring comfort, relaxation, and joy into your daily life.
The name "Pumarosa" is inspired by Vanessa's childhood memories of playing under a pumarosa tree in her family's garden in Puerto Piritu, Venezuela. The tree was a symbol of beauty and sweetness, and its spirit lives on in every candle we create.
Giving Back
We believe that every child deserves a community committed to their success. Vanessa, who experienced the loss of her mother at a young age and was raised by a mix of other family members, has a heart for at-risk and hurting children.
5% of Pumarosa's net proceeds directly support Treehouse and their vision to create a world where every child who has experienced foster care has the opportunities and support they need to pursue their dreams and launch successfully into adulthood.
